가장 좋아하는 여가수 중 하나. 처음엔 그냥 음악만 듣고 좋아하다. 콘서트 동영상을 보고 뮤직비디오를 보고는 완전히 빠져버린 Mylene Farmer. 예전 누군가와 헤어지고 동영상을 같이 잃어버리게 되었는 데 나중에는 동영상의 분실이 더 아까웠었다^^. 가사도 파격적이라 하는데 불어라 알아들을 수가 없으니 정말 아쉽다. 콘서트를 보고 그 목소리를 들으면 Mylene의 마력에 저항할 수 없다. 아래의 뮤비들도 재미있다.

흥미가 있고 또 구할 수만 있다면 Mylenium tour 와 live a bercy 콘서트 영상은 구해 볼 것을 권하고 싶다.

미국 리얼리티쇼 중 하나인 Dancing with the stars에서 처음 들었는 데, 노래를 참 편하게 하는 것 같고 듣기에도 괜찮아서 가끔 듣는 중. 아쉽게도 가볍게 들을 수 있어 좋은 save the last dance for me 는 영상을 못 찾았지만 이 노래를 The drifters(wikipedia)가 부른 것과 비교해 듣는 것도 좋은 것 같다. 한 번 찾아서 들어보시길. 이 아쉬움은 밑의 여러 다른 노래들로 충분히 풀 수 있을 걸로 생각됨. 특히 바로 밑의 Feeling Good은 제목 그대로이다.
ps. 위의 글에 선을 그은 것은 노래를 제대로 안 듣고 적은 것 같아서이다. 몇 번 더 들어보니 Savet the last dance for me 도 좋은 노래고 윗 말도 맞지만 듣다보니 밑에 노래들이 더 좋아져서이다. 결론은 다 좋다는 것. ^^

듣고 읽다 보니 memento mori라는 말이 생각나는 군요.

이 영상은 스탠포드대학 졸업식에서 Steve Jobs가 2005년에 연설한 것입니다. 주요내용은 아래와 같습니다.

"만약 당신이 오늘이 생의 마지막이라 생각하며 하루하루를 살아간다면, 앞으로 확실히 뭔가를 이룰 수 있을 것이다."

"죽음은 어떤 누구도 회피할 수 없고 공유해야 만 하는 우리 모두의 종착지이다. 그럴 수 밖에 없는 것이 죽음은 인생이 만들어 내는 유일무이한 것이기 때문이다."

"인생에 있어서 큰 선택을 할때 도움을 주는 최고의 도구는 나는 머지않아 죽음을 맞아야 한다는 것을 기억하는 것이다. 왜냐하면 거의 모든 것들, 모든 외적 기대들, 모든 자부심, 실패와 좌절에의 모든 두려움-이러한 모든 것들은 진정으로 중요한 것만을 남기는 죽음앞에서는 단지 사그라질 뿐이다. 죽음을 기억한다는 것은 실패할 것이라는 생각의 함정에서 벗어 날 수 있는 최고의 방법이다. 죽음 앞에서 너는 이미 아무 것도 잃을 것이 없는 벌거숭이므로, 네가 진정으로 원하는 것을 하지 않을 이유는 전혀 없다는 것이다."
