Black Water 2007

I thought maybe this is remake of J-horror but after seeing this movie. it's a australian movie about survival horror film against the some crocdile. the plot is consist of funny idea that surviving in the swamp with a croc's threaten. But it didn't works for me.

Maybe if those three character's inner mentality are showing adeuately, it must draw the scariness and thrill. anyway this movie has no thrill and horror. only exist ugliness

she felt guilty about his father's suicide.
they are falling in love.
she is dying.
he depressed.
gf give him a some kind of hope.
he felt something.
he'll do someting again.

however, enough.

フラガ-ル hula girls 2006

i had known director SangIl Lee from Scrap Heaven
so i would have expecting this film.
i was really impressed that fascinating visual and story telling.
but his the other film '69' was not right for me.

hula girls doesn't have a intense factor of Scrap Heaven.
but there are full of his sensibility.
the plot and environments are ordinary like a any other similar movies.
Swing Girls, Water Boys, Sister Act etc.
that kind of stuffs are just coming up my mind.
and as well as, Ewan McGregor 's Brassed Off(1996)
was adding properly.

In 1965, Joban Coal Mining Industry(Japan) would have building resort facility named by "Hawaiian Center"(spar resort) in spite of Coal mien's closing down for the bad paybilty.
It should have been expecting difficulties and firing with coal miner.

Coal mining company would teaching the hula dance to the miner's daughters for advertising "Hawaiian Center".
this film shows up how they will come to the Opening Ceremony for the "Hawaiian Center"
it comes from peaceful settlement and their harmony.

Aoi Yuu,蒼井優, is soooooo pretty, cute in this role "kimiko". i should have loving this actress again.
The remarkable dancing scenes from Hand and Alice and perfect harmony with character from Honey and Clover.

Most of all, i am satisfying to see Aoi Yuu's beautiful smile in this film in regardless of movie's quality.

As i said, Lee Sang Il directing with a adequate control without this kind of movie were doing frequently by excessive empathy.
and as well as,he was doing overcome the real story
because reality over exaggerated drama itself usually.

i think film shows change of understanding and unification of people through developing Industry.
there is no big story and themes.
just easygoing enjoyable human story.
Story of normal mankind.
regardless to say it's real or fake, maybe he tells us story about Human.

i was really delighted to seeing this movie.

One of the movie i wanna see.
The reason is
one : i knew this female director from cine21's
article " conversation with Bong Joon Ho"
two : i have a little belief about Odagiri.

This movie isolated eyes of audience from the main constantly. Imperfections of Takeru's memories and thoughts made the truth hidden.
Miruo's Dual personality and doing is a kind of that
alienation effect. so all things are not logical and confused.

Photographer Takeru is atteding family ceremony after long time away from home
after One night with a female childhood friend,
the next day he is going to valley with miruo, chieko.
but there was a accident in the valley bridge between chieko and miruo. they had a some kind of struggle. then Chieko was died.

that time Takeru saw Some thng.
chieko's cause of death was concluded by false step.

after chieko's funeral, miruo confessed that he murderd chieko.

Takeru is trying to save his big brother.

and the truth is revealing a little by little.
the real relationship between miruo and takeru.
controlled memory and lost memoy.
takeru is trying to back real miruo who he wants to remembered by revealing his own remembering.

after time pass on.
takeru remembered the real truth about himself and Miruo.
the real truth he had remembered.
but is that real really?

anyway.
the bigger thing that i don't like in this movie is,
that inspector(who's s this guy? almost a figure of gangster mob. he shoudn't doing that role and acting)

but the most important and loving factor about this movie to me is not Odagir(of course he is doing well) but Kagawa teruyuki's excellent acting by presentation of double personality

this movie make a isolation from movie and audience.
assumed result,
confirmed result.
and revealing controve truth..

here is a lot of dummies all aroud for cover up only one real information.

when i c the movie i saw the stuff mainly that character's personality and probablity of storyline through communications between the characters.

their conflicting emotions between each other.
first time that didn't come up but it shows a bit more and more. that comes from envy and jealousy to another.

this movie is about how they were understanding the his own brother.

their memory and misleading expression made a
distrusting. and brings lack of communicaion.

it's a reciprocal sentence of death

disguised or selfish memories woudn't save himself.

"the fact" is not a thing we must remember.
we should memorizing construction and development of our relationship

this movie is good but below my expectation.
the last scene of miruo's fainted smile is the movie
wants to tell us something.
we must remembered our decision about our own acceptance of fact not a fact itself.

ps)it's horrible english writing, but i dont wanna rewrite this. this blog is just on my own satisfaction.

300 the movie 2007

Zack Snyder's Film Based on the Graphich Novel by Frank Miller's 300(originated from Battle of Thermopylae in BC 480.

before i watch this, i read "300" roughly.
film is more storong impression to me than novel.(the reason i mentioned it in the past article already)
i think 300 movie creating realistic acting through the technique "digital backout" better than original"s.

And any plot or precise background chek about this movie is scattered all around web.
so i don't need to say that stuff.
Just in additional to saying is no need to talk about another Hero Making.
In every point this is commercial business film so they want to meke money more.
So it is.

Return to the main point, i'll say something simple impressed.
This is one of the best action scene making.
Just Watching and Enjoy.
that's all, no need to got a some message. it's useless.
just Enjoy without thinking.

It is the presentation of this films.
i enjoyed with absent mind. : )

Hannibal Rising 2007

Beginng of Hannibal.
Prequel of the novel(Red Dragon, the Silence of the lamb and Hannibal) by the Thomas Harris.

Honestly i am saying this is the below average of the Sequels(actually this films is 4th)

Once very interesting to me becasue "Hannibal Lector" is more attractive than any other ordinary character, and the series of this original novels were good to read

Hannibal had a sealed limited memories about war crime during WWII.
that memories are about to his younger sister "Misha"
He was going to His uncle in france after severe up and downs.
And he was taught by uncle's japanese wife and going to Medical College.
(Ooops! what's this? is this a kind of Batman Beginning?)
Process of revenging his enemy who killed his sister.
And truth revealed...

This is nothing if the Character of Hannibal Lector who wasn't already built.
Without any sequel or reputaion of th noves, it will concluding crippled movie.
that's all i am feeling about this movie.

and as well as i dont like this kind of cruel movies.

Moderated Crime revenge thriller is this film's simple impression.

Tony Leung Chiu Wai doing excellent job for the remarkble character building,

he gave us normal image despite of his devilish role playing.

he express the double side of Life's pain and the presentation of evil by the same ordinary face. he completed his acting perfectly.

Started from two cops chasing serial killer.
Ah bang(Kaneshiro)'s tragic accident happenning
Story goes on.
but they have good realtionship each other though theris ways are different.

Ahei(Tony) murdered his father in law.

Eh! this is ending?

no now movie is starting.

This film gives us kindness about who's the murderer repeatedly by the Real Crime Scene.
the Scene make us understanding Abong's own thought and counfusions.

All mysteries are going to solve by the process of detecting murderer and truth about abong's suicided girlfriend.

now this not the type of mine. this kind of stoyline make me bore.
but Strangely it is not bored at all.

After all, story tells us about lost and obtain not a convincing procedure about murder investigation.
Interesting plot and moderate expression make the film better.

Generally we shouldn't have tolerate that somehing we lost.
ironically, if we cannot bear the lost we will lose the big part of our life.

Just do the small thing from beginning.
You must start from tiny parts of you already got it.

i am thinking this is the story told us.

Confession of pain is good film to recommended to others.

ハチミツとクロ-バ: Honey & Clover, 2006

Movie for 蒼井優(Aoi Yuu)-of course this is personal opinion.

there is 2 reasons why i want to c this movie.

1. Yuu, Aoi

2. Original manga's impression is good

Although many times elapsed after i read that manga,

i felt the configuration and Basic story is very alike.

Sure! Many parts of difference exist

because i think the film is willing to concluded in the limited time

Aoi yuu is best for the character "Hagu"

Without her, almost actors are no good to me.

maybe the feeling is coming from Strong impact of manga Character.
eh! Rika's role is good

before i watching this movie, i worried about Main title role.

but when i c "Hagumi" that's gone far away

She made a perfect construction of character and image.

as well as i think she beats the original down(ha ha! personal personal)

i would not talk about "morita", pass.

who would fit for it?

in my concern, that kind of serious psychotic image is

only one man whom i know,

Kubozuka Youske. only he can do it.

Story is normal

As a freshman, falling in first love, doing one sided love,

trouble is emerging, concerning about future and

find one's way.

a figure of younger days are all around.

a little plainness

it is dedicated to original but didn't express it's own color.

But That's good.

all the weakness is make up for watching Aoi Yuu.

She's so pretty that i am satisfied.

After hana and Alice, she is better than any other films she comes.

A life between the past and the present.

What is the purpose of this movie?
the painful result of that tragedy,
if it's not, the present separated from the past.
or the uncertain future.
in a positive view this is smooth
but this is poor contemplation.
all things in this movie were made by dim traces.
So Older garden is going to nothing.
As well as, lead actor Jee is terrible.
he wasn't fit for the role.
but female actors are better than any other actors in this film.
And the lead actress Yeom is the best for me.
she swallowed everything the role present.
The past remained by the pictures.
it's just mere changing from fainted future happiness.
And the horrible part is CG about suicide by fire.
The problem of this film is
show nothing that he wanna say.
It's selfishness that you want to the others are understanding you don't say.
After all, i remembered Lead actress Yeom, Jeong Ah.

Yeolhyeol-nama Cruel Winter Blues 2006

This film's main role is Seol GyoungGoo
if he wasn't i shoudnt watching this.
in conclusion this is no good.
Now i am tired of Korean Mob films.
this film makes no more future or hope from korean mob genre.
Anyway, mob films are based on the fake story
(of course real story is exisit, but i mean nearly all of them)
so this movie tried not to make them counterfeit, but that is failed.f
irst, failure of Making Character and wrong comprehension.
And Most of all, there is no fun, no interesting point.
Seol's acting is disappointed, some kind of parody about Yang DongGeun.
i have no expectation from Cho
Na Moon Hee - She is doing anything she wants, but this not the best.
A scene on the screen is beautiful,
but no match for anything
That's just meaningless landscape.

Death Note : The last name 2006

1년만에 개봉한 데스노트 완결편.
원작만화 자체도 초반의 참신한 설정과 구성이뒤로 넘어가면서
허접개판이 되어버린 스토리를 가지고있어서
별로 기대는 하지 않았었지만, 역시나라고 할까?

마지막 스토리를 L의 승리라는 식으로 바꿔버리는
만행을 저질렀음에도 불구하고 역시 허술한 스토리라인과
안습인 배우들의 연기는 볼만한 구석이 전혀 없었다.

전편과 후편을 비교한다면전편이 차라리 낫다.
역시 기본적인 스토리의 완성도가 없이는힘들겠지.

메멘토, 인섬니아의 감독
메멘토를 처음 봤을때의 기발함? 충격정도를 기대하지도
않았지만 나름대로 만족,

끝부분에 이르러서의 반전이라기엔 허무한 예상된 결말에
아쉼움을 느끼는 건 아마도 메멘토의 영향일 듯.

하지만 충분히 괜찮은 느낌을 받았다.

두 마술사의 죽음에 이르는 라이벌 대결과 집착.

인간 복제에 관한 비판적인 시각과
인간에 대한 냉소어린 시각을 깔고 있다고 느꼈다.

인간은 끝없는 집착의 동물이기도 하며,
또한 너무나 단순하여서 일부러 속는 것을 편안히 여기는
이중적 시각을 가지고 있음을
또 그것이 당연시 되는 사회구조이며 인식임을
말하고 있다.

휴잭맨과 크리스찬 베일은
액션물의 히로로서도 어울리지만
이러한 영화에도 충분한 역할을 해내는 듯 하다.

코요테 어글리의 이쁜이 파이퍼 페라보는 나오자마자 죽어버리다니 ㅜㅜ
스칼렛 요한슨은 조금 특색이 없었다.

어쨌던 시간이 아깝지 않은 영화이다.

해바라기 2006

이런 말하긴 그렇지만

영화의 퇴보를 확실히 보여준다.

이렇게 영화를 만들면 안된다는 것을

온 몸 바쳐서 보여준다.

어제인가? 어떤 인터넷 뉴스기사에서

요즘의 한국영화가를 보면 90년대 이후 홍콩영화의 몰락와 비슷한

분위기이며 변하지 않으면 그것은 확정된 미래가 될 것이라는 내용을 얼핏봤다.

예전에 친구와 이에 관한 대화를 하면서

나 스스로도 비슷한 이야기를 한적이 있다.

극단적 상업주의가 만들어낸 비슷한 류의 조폭물.

코미디물이 우후죽순으로 양산되면서

스스로의 경쟁력을 갉아먹는 느낌이라고 할까?

물론 아직은 희망이 있으며 나아질 것이라 믿고 싶다.

예전에 한국영화가 방화라고 불리우며 외국영화에 밀리던 때를 벗어난지가

얼마되지도 않는데. 또한 FTA라는 거대한 변화의 흐름 속에서

지금의 경쟁력을 유지할 수 있을까?

각설하고,

이 영화는 어설픈 조폭갱생기에다가 어디선가 익숙한 내용들의

짜깁기를 본 듯한 느낌이다.

모든 것이 엉망인데 비해 김래원은 봐줄만했으며,

어머니로 나오는 중년 여배우만이 돋보인다.

여전히 조폭에서 벗어나지 못하는 메시지 없는 우울한 영화이다.

비열한 거리는 이 영화에 비하면 정말 훌륭하다.

해양 구조대 영웅이야기에 사관과 신사를 더한데다
GI Jane까지 곁들인 영화라고 해야 하나.

간만에 스킵하면서 본 영화.

전설의 구조대원과
야심만만한 젊은 구조대원 피 교육생

그리고 구조.

뭐 뻔한 이야기이다.
처음 보면서는 일본만화 해원(우미자루던가?)원작의 영화를 떠올렸고
별로 크게 다르지도 않다.

단지 배우들의 인지도만 높을 뿐.
애쉬턴 커쳐는 인상깊었던 적이 나비효과가 유일하다.

하여튼 시간이 남아돌면 추천할 만하다.
솔직히 조금 시간이 많이 남아서 봤다.

하나 (花よりもなほ: More Than Flower, 2006)

아무도 모른다의 감독

오카다 준이치, 미야자와 리에, 아사노 타다노부의 평화로운 시대 빈민가의 사무라이와
사람들의 이야기.

겁쟁이 사무라이의 복수이야기에 얽힌 사람살아가는 세상에 관한 이야기.

아무도 모른다의 그 깊은 슬픔에 나는 그 영화를 생각조차 않으려고 했었다.

이 영화는 전혀 다르지만 여전히 슬프며 더하여 희망을 이야기 한다.

한 가지 기준이 우세하다고 그에 밀리는 다른 기준이 그르다고 할 수는 없을 것이다.

살아가는 모습을 유쾌하게 그러나 가볍지 않게 보여준다.

오카다 준이치는 이 영화에서 진정한 배우가 되었다는 느낌(물론 나만의 생각이다)이다.

오랜만에 본 에드워드 노턴의 Illusionist 는 실망스럽지 않았다.

어릴적의 약속을 지키기 위한 잔인한 동화라고 해야 하나?

스토리가 썩 마음에 드는 것은 아니지만

구성은 꽤 탄탄하다.

굳이 평가를 한다면 무난한 영화 정도.

공녀 소피와 가구점 아들 에드워드의 사랑찾기에 곁들여진

환상추리물이라고 할 수 있을 것 같다.

최고는 아니지만 꽤 볼만한 영화

황후花 (滿城盡帶黃金甲: Curse Of The Golden Flower, 2006)

장이모우는 이제 무협비주얼에서 벗어날수 없으려나?

주윤발, 공리는 괜찮았다.

비주얼은 역시 장이모우다.

중국무협영화의 스케일은 부러울 뿐.

하지만 그것이 다인것 같다.

궁중암투에 복잡한 인간관계에도

불구하고 말하고자 하는 바를 모르겠다.

그냥 멋진 화면과 액션만 봤다.

한편의 잔잔한 수필을 본 느낌이다.
그러나 인상깊지는 않다.

화면은 이뻤다.
배우들의 연기는 기대 이하.
사랑의 흔적을 찾아가는 두 남녀 그리고 한 망자의 여행.
세 인물 중 살아있는 여자의 심리는 내게 이해가 되지 않는다.
극중 현우(유지태)는 상대배우들의 연기마저 방해한다(무섭다)

삼풍백화점의 붕괴와 잔잔한 추억의 여정.
솔직히 몰입에 방해된다.

두 남녀와 여행의 당위성을 입증하기 위해 사용한
백화점 붕괴는 과도한 낭비에 불과하다.

아름다운 것을 바라보는 바라보기를 바라는
한권의 다이어리를 통한 행복찾기?

내게는 옳지 않다. (난 여전히 삐뚤어져 있다ㅜㅜ)

타짜 The War of Flower 2006

범죄의 재구성을 감독한 최동훈.
솔직히 잘 모른다. 게다가 그 작품을 그리 인상적으로 기억하고 있지도 못하고

타짜. 허영만 김세영의 만화가 원작이다.
139분의 러닝타임은 너무 길다는 느낌.
김혜수의 누드는 훌륭했다.
꽤 흥미롭게 보았다
정도로 감상을 압축할 수 있을 것이다.

일반인들이 잘 모르는 전문 도박꾼들의 이야기.
결국은 범죄의 이야기다.
범죄의 재구성을 만들었던 감독답게(?)

그는 만화를 영화적으로 재구성하면서
10개의 소제목을 붙여가면서 분할 시키려고 한다.
이런 점에서는 꽤 재미있는 시도였다는 생각이 든다.
그렇게 영화의 전체적 구성을 방해하지 않으면서
이루어진 열개의 분할은 그런대로 긴 러닝타임을
지루하지 않게 해주는 효과도 있긴 했지만
굳이 소제목을 붙였어야 하느냐 하는 의문도 동시에
생긴다.

영화를 보면서 항상 느껴지는 것들인데.
결말은 어찌 그리도 맘에 들지 않는지 모르겠다.
마지막 기차씬에서 끊었으면 깔금했을까?
시체 안치소의 문신확인에서 끝내야 했을까?
아니면 이런 결말이 좋았을까?

세 경우 모두 맘에 들지는 않는 것 같다.
거의 모든 영화들은 엔딩에 대한 강박관념을 가지고 있는가?
그렇지 않은 영화를 기대해 해본다.
뭐 나도 결말에 대한 강박관념이 분명히 있긴 할테지만 말이다.
위 세가지 경우에서 3번이 가장 맘에 들지 않기는 하다.


김혜수의 훌륭했던 특색은 총격장면에서의
어리버리한 연기로 모두 사라져버렸다.
굉장히 아쉬울 뿐이다.

이 영화에서 훌륭한 연기를 보여준 두 사람은
평경장 역의 백윤식과 아귀 역의 이름을 잊어버린 배우라는
생각이 든다.

조승우도 나름 괜찮았지만 내 취향은 아닌 것 같다.
무난했지만 카리스마의 결핍이라고 해야 하려나?

괜찮았던 영화로 기억되어질 것 같다.
단지 조금은 지루했다.

역시 오랜만에 적는 글이라 두서가 없고 정리도 안되며
익숙하지 않은 데스크 탑에서 이러한 개인적인 글들을
적는 것은 그리 편하지 않다.

이 번달 안에 새로 장만을 해야 할텐데
어찌 될런지 모르겠다. 쩝
